Katie got in touch as she was going to be managing the social media channels for Golf Course Events - a new start up specialising in Top 100 Golf Course Events across the South.
With a strong new brand and having surveyed the competition she wanted to get off on the right foot, understand the world of social media, make a strategy and know what she was doing and why!
We did 3 x 2 hour sessions - 1 week apart. As Katie was a complete novice we covered the basics in the first session, including scheduling content for Facebook and Instagram, #hashtags, how often to post, being social on social media - touched on advertising and a whole lot more. She went away with some homework and when she came back for the second session we reviewed what she had done, looked at advertising some more and when in to a whole lot more detail. How to structure a post, content ideas, sourcing images, video vs image, instagram reels/stories and how to build and engaged audience. In the third session, we recapped on the above, answered all the questions that Katie had come across and make a plan for engaging with influencers and how to identify the right influencers for your brand.
